Listed below is a brief bio of our Leadership Team and a brief description of some of our trusted subcontractors.
Donald Contero, President & CEO - Donald has a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to being a founding member of Morpheus Brown LLC in 2005, he spent 17 years at Honeywell International. During that time, he held various positions within the corporation’s Information Technology (IT) organization. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with additional certification in Design for Six Sigma. With more than 10 years of experience in Six Sigma, he has trained over 600 employees, mentored over 80 employees to certification and assisted numerous teams in reporting over $30 million in cost savings. He won numerous corporate awards and his teams were selected to participate in the corporation’s annual Quality Excellence event 6 years in a row (Honeywell’s premier recognition for quality and process excellence). Most recently, Donald was responsible for developing and deploying a global project management program utilizing the concepts of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and helping his organization reach Level 3 compliance. His responsibilities included developing all of his organizations project management templates, creating a repository for the templates, creating a repository for project documentation, performing monthly audits, performing self-assessments, providing status reports to management and senior leadership, creating and facilitating all training and providing daily mentoring and coaching. Prior to that, Donald was a Six Sigma Black Belt for 10 years. In that role, he was responsible for leading the overall deployment of the Six Sigma program, including training material development and facilitation, course registration, survey design and analysis, project initiation and tracking, employee mentoring and coaching and all goals, objectives and deliverables.
Tanya Keats, Vice President - Tanya has a Bachelors of Science degree in Management Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). She uses her abilities to develop and implement mission-critical business strategies in response to customer initiative and cost savings objectives. Prior to joining Morpheus Brown LLC, Tanya worked for Honeywell International as a Project Manager in their Aerospace division. In this position, Tanya was responsible for measurably improving “external customers” user experience in collaboration with outsourced partners in India and local internal customers. Tanya was also influential in helping her organization implement SEI CMM and reach Level 3 compliance. Tanya has business experience as a business analyst in manufacturing and in process improvement with Human Resources. Tanya is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and certified in Design for Six Sigma.
We utilize a variety of additional resources (subcontractors) when the need arises. Listed below is a summary of some of the available resources and their experience.
Six Sigma Master Black Belt – For the last 5 years, our staff has worked directly with a Master Black Belt with experience in Manufacturing, Information Technology, Finance and other transactional areas. This person has mentored countless Black Belts to certification and trained hundreds of personnel. This person has a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering and is in training to become a licensed Coach.
Lean Master Black Belt – With over 5 years of experience in Lean and Six Sigma, this professional is a certified Six Sigma/Lean Expert. He is also a certified PMP, has experience as a Project Manager and Engineer. He has expertise in process control, aerospace and manufacturing applications. He is a collaborative communicator skilled at negotiating and leading positive outcomes to achieve business goals and revenue objectives. His focus on Quality has earned him a reputation for gathering customer requirements and implementing action plans that get results.
Other Six Sigma Professionals – These resources include certified Black Belts, Lean Master and Lean Experts.
Retail Sales Public Relations and Marketing – With experience in Retail, Public Relations and Marketing, this subcontractor combines experience in a number of valuable areas. She has planned and implemented mass media plans, worked with many charitable affiliations (including the Arizona Humane Society, Arizona Little League, Habitat for Humanity, The Pat Tillman Foundation, PF Chang's Rock and Roll Marathon Health and Wellness Expo, and the YMCA) with various responsibilities and has developed an extensive list of contacts in many industries. Currently, this individual works for a sports promotions company that provides athletic apparel, custom uniforms and gear for athletic teams, clubs, camps and corporate organizations. She has also been a teacher with over 12 years of experience and owned her own business.
Construction Management and Engineering – As a retired Air National Guard reserve, this person has years of experience in most types of construction heavy equipment (dirt work, road and highway construction), commercial heavy and light, residential, landscape, concrete work, estimating and surveying. This person has a CDL and a current DOT physical card and is licensed for most heavy equipment except cranes and scrapers. This person is one year short of completing their Construction Management and Engineering degree. While in the guard, this person was responsible for a variety of assignments including facilities management in the Middle East and Louisiana (after Hurricane Katrina).
Organizational Development Professional – As a former Director of Process Operations, Travel & Expense and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, this person has delivered sustainable cost reductions through continuous improvement programs and process redesign. This person clearly understands the systemic relationships between organizational functions and focuses both on strategies and skills to build successful alliances utilizing the collective potential of individuals. This person has a MS in Accounting, a BA in Education and a MBA in Business Management. This person also has Organization Development certification, Myers-Brigg certification and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Franklin Covey Master Facilitator with experience in Strategic Change Leadership.
Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) – This individual is the owner of consulting firm that provides procurement services to AZ State, Counties, Cities and School Districts and assistance to businesses in submitting government quotes, bids and proposals to acquire government contracts. His company currently has contracts with the Arizona Department of Administration, the City of Peoria and several private sector firms.
